My Story
I love to enjoy my life everyday. I am in control of how I feel when I go to bed that night, because I choose to live, love and understand. I didn’t always feel this way however. It took 37 years of life for me to get to this very spot. Every decision builds on others, making you a unique individual. No situation is the same, because everyone experiences things differently.
I was lucky to marry a man who loves me as much as I love him. Eight months into our wedded bliss I got sick while on a long weekend in Vail Colorado. I was diagnosed with Necrotizing Fasciitis (Flesh Eating Bacteria) I was immediately rushed into my first surgery. Kyle was notified shortly before I went into surgery, he jumped in his car and drove down to Vail from Scobey, MT. I was in ICU for 11 days. I had 4 surgeries. I died 1 time. I was told I would never have use of my arm again, if they could even save it. I would NOT accept that. I WILL use my arm again and be stronger because of it!
My husband was a Border Patrol agent in NE Montana. It was a very difficult time in our new marriage. After my brush with death we decided we wanted to start a family sooner rather than later. We were ecstatic to get pregnant! Ten weeks into the new experience, at our 2nd appointment, to our utter dismay we were informed we had lost our baby. A procedure followed and the whole experience was numbing. It took 7 long months to get pregnant again with our beautiful rainbow baby Clara. Shortly after Clara was born we picked up and moved to Billings to start fresh. We struggled when we first arrived, living in my grandma's basement for a year with a four month old, until we opened iDoctor Heights.
It took me a long time to realize that you are in charge of your attitude and reaction to any situation. I decided I wanted to be happy and it was up to me to find my own happiness. It wasn't anyone's fault that I was unhappy, but my own. Today I am happily married and have two beautiful children. Did I plan any of this? Nope! But damn am I happy, because I choose to be.
I joined Scentsy on a whim and it was the best decision I did for myself ever! Scentsy truly is my 'Happy Place'.
